My name is Suely (she/her), but you can call me Sue. It takes a village to raise new humans, and I’d love to be part of yours as your postpartum doula.

welcome

Hello, parents!

Welcoming a new baby comes with infinite joy and challenges. The experience is unique for each family, but every journey has one thing in common: it will be full of ups and downs. I am here to ensure that you don’t go through them alone. It takes a village to raise new humans and I’d love to be part of yours.

As your postpartum doula, I want you to help you thrive by offering nonjudgmental nurturing, support, education, encouragement, and resources.

My goal in working with each new family is to listen closely to their hopes and needs, and use my relevant experience and education to help make their transition as joyful and stress-free as possible. This can include helping to establish safe, gentle sleep routines; providing breastfeeding support; or intuitively responding to a family’s needs in the moment by preparing a meal, playing with an older child, offering emotional support, or lovingly caring for the new baby so everyone can get some needed rest. I offer a second or third set of hands so my clients can focus on bonding with their new babies and making a healthy transition into a new family configuration.

Everyone's welcome!

I am excited to work with families of all types, regardless of sexual orientation, marital status, gender, race, or religion. I also love pets and children of all ages.

about

MEET YOUR DOULA

My name is Suely Carneiro (she/her), but you can call me Sue.

I’m a Birth and Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Educator and Sleep Consultant.

I am a natural care-taker who believes in the transformative power of loving support. My mom, Tiloh, was a lovely and nurturing person whose care of family and friends inspired me to become a Doula. Growing up in Brazil, I saw my mother, and so many women in my family and community, empowering and supporting each other during all phases of lives: through births and deaths, joy and loneliness. It is an honor to uphold my mother’s legacy as I continue to walk alongside families as part of their postpartum journey.
